Muzzle snowy from sifting through snow to get to the tasty bits, Temple looks toward the lower reaches of Spring Creek. I’m not sure what she saw there, but it had her attention – and she had mine!
Can you picture it already??? š I’m seeing green slopes and colorful wildflowers. … Hoping, hoping, hoping! We have a better chance for it this year than some!
Their faces are just so lovely. Honestly, they don’t look like “tame” horse faces. I can’t say exactly what’s different. Maybe it’s like my face when I’m out at the Refuge and relatively liberated from civilization. ā¤ļø
I know what you mean. … They’re just … *different*. I’ve been able to pick out a mustang among domestic horses, even when their mane obscures their brand. They’re really quite amazing … and I am forever fascinated. š
Must be cold with nose in the snow. What a beautiful picture.
That’s what I thought, too! Just sticking my fingers in the snow makes ’em instantly cold. But the mustangs don’t seem to mind. š
Aww. What a great portrait of Temple with her snowy face and beautiful, long eyelashes!
š Those white eyelashes set off her beautiful dark eyes!
beautiful gal! Love her fuzzy coat and snowy face!
Good thing she and the others are still wearing those fuzzy coats – we have more snow on the way the next few days!
Hoping that all of this moisture makes for some very tasty spring treats !

I hope someday I see them in real life.
We’re not terribly far away. š
That’s true and it doesn’t require I-25 to get there!!!
